Portland Stripper News

By Michael Portney

I wanted to share something I’ve been working on for a while now. It’s a comedy project called Portland Stripper News, and I wrote the pilot script not too long ago. It’s wild, funny, satirical, and also strangely heartfelt. It pulls from a ton of different influences—The Colbert Report, Jackass, Pee-wee’s Playhouse, Review, Reno 911!, and honestly, the real energy of Portland’s strip club culture.

This is one of those projects where I poured a lot of myself into it. It made me laugh while I was writing it, and when I look at it now, I feel proud. I put my full name on this, I stand behind it. I don’t know if it’ll ever make it to TV or festivals or anything beyond this post—but I’m going to try.

If you want to check it out, I’d be honored. The script is up at portlandstrippernews.com.
To read it, just use the password: strippers

If it clicks with you—or if you think you might want to be part of making it real—I’d love to talk. Whether that’s performing, helping spread the word, giving feedback, or even just saying “hey, I read it”—I’m here for it.

Thanks for letting me share something I care about. That alone means a lot.
